Biyografi
Caner Taslaman, ilk, orta ve lise eğitimini doğduğu şehir olan İstanbul'da bitirdi. Kimya mühendisi bir annenin ve doktor bir babanın oğlu olarak küçük yaşlardan itibaren doğa bilimleri ile ilgilendi. Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümü’nde üniversite eğitimini tamamladı. Üniversite eğitimi sırasında antropoloji, din sosyolojisi, bilgi sosyolojisi gibi alanlarla ilgilendi. Marmara Üniversitesi Felsefe ve Din Bilimleri bölümünde, Big Bang Teorisi'nin felsefe ve teoloji ile bağlantısı üzerine yaptığı teziyle yüksek lisans, Evrim Teorisi’nin felsefe ve teoloji ile bağlantısı üzerine yaptığı teziyle doktora derecesini kazandı. Daha sonra ise Kuantum Teorisi’nin felsefe ve teoloji ile bağlantısı üzerine yazdığı kitapla doçent oldu. Ayrıca "Küreselleşme Sürecinde Türkiye'deki İslam" çalışmasıyla ikinci doktorasını İstanbul Üniversitesi Siyasi Bilimler Fakultesi'nde tamamladı. İlk olarak Tokyo Üniversitesi'nde daha sonra Oxford Üniversitesi'nde post doktora çalışmaları yaptı. Harvard Üniversitesi'nde misafir akademisyen olarak bulundu.

Caner Taslaman was born in Istanbul where he finished elementary and high school. As the son of a mother who is a chemical engineer and a father who is a doctor, he has always had deep enthusiasm in natural sciences from a very tender age. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Sociology Department of Bogazici University in Istanbul. During his undergraduate education he has also showed interest in fields like anthropology, sociology of religion, and sociology of knowledge. He later got his masters degree at the Philosophy and Religion Department of Marmara University in Istanbul, with a thesis on the connection between the Big Bang Theory, philosophy and theology. Following that, he got his doctorate in the same department with a thesis on the connection between the Evolution Theory, philosophy and theology. Later he got Associate Professorship with his book on the connection between Quantum Theory, philosophy and theology. He has also completed a second phd degree in Political Sciences Faculty of Istanbul University with his thesis on “Islam in Turkey During the Globalization Process”. He had post-doctorate studies in Tokyo University and Oxford University. He has also studied at Harvard University as a visiting scholar.
His main interest areas include subjects such as the relationship between Science, Philosophy and Religion; Globalization and Islam; Quran and Science; Philosophy of Religion; Philosophy of Science; Philosophy of Physics and Philosophy of Biology.
Caner Taslaman rođen je u Istanbulu, gdje je završio osnovnu i srednju školu. Kao dijete od majke hemijskog inžinjera i oca ljekara, od samog djetinjstva je pokazivao interesiranje za prirodne nauke. Fakultetsko obrazovanje je završio na Bogaziçi univerzitetu, na odsijeku Sociologije. U toku univerzitetskog školovanja zanimao se za naučne oblasti kao što su antropologija, sociologija religije, sociologija nauke. Odbranom teze na temu veza između teorije Velikog praska i filozofije i nauke, na Marmara univerzitetu, odsijek Filozofije i religijskih studija, stiče zvanje magistra. Nakon toga je na istom odsijeku obranio doktorsku disertaciju na temu veza teorije evolucije sa filozofijom i teologijom. Na Istanbulskom univerzitetu je pohađao političke nauke, na engleskom Cambridge univerzitetu je prisustvovao predavanjima na temu odnosa nauke i religije, a na japanskom Tokyo univerzitetu boravio je u svojstvu ''gosta-akademičara''. Knjige i tekstove do sada je objavljivao na turskom, engleskom i bosanskom jezik. Trenutno se intenzivno bavi proučavanjem i pisanjem o temama ''Veza između moderne nauke, filozofije i religije'' i ''Globalizacija i islam''. A sfere njegovog specijalnog zanimanja mogu se navesti pod sljedećim naslovima: ''Kur'an i nauka'', ''Globalizacija i islam'', ''Novotarije i religija'', ''Percepcija religije u Turskoj'', ''Filozofski i teološki rezultati moderne fizike'', ''Filozofija religije'', ''Filozofija nauke'' i ''Filozofija biologije''.
Caner Taslaman wurde in Istanbul geboren. Die Grund- und Mittelschule und das Gymnasium besuchte er in seiner Geburtsstadt. Als Sohn einer Chemieingenieruin und eines Doktors hat er sich bereits im Kindesalter für die Naturwissenschaften interessiert. Er schloss seine universitäre Ausbildung am Soziologischen Institut der Universität Boğaziçi ab. Während seiner Ausbildung interessierte er sich ausserdem für Gebiete wie Anthropologie, Religionssoziologie und Wissenssoziologie. Am Institut für Philosophie und Religion der Universität Marmara erhielt er seinen Master mit einer Masterarbeit über die Verbindung zwischen der Big Bang Theorie und der Philosophie und Theologie. Der Doktorgrad wurde ihm am selben Institut für seine Dissertation über die Verbindung zwischen der Evolutionstheorie und der Philosophie und Theologie verliehen. Nach dem Schreiben des Buches über die Verbindung der Quantentheorie mit der Philosophie und Theologie wurde er Dozent. Er studierte an der Universität von Istanbul Politikwissenschaften und nahm an Seminaren der Universität Cambridge in England über die Verbindung von Wissenschaft und Religion teil und war als Gastwissenschaftler an der Universität von Tokyo in Japan. Einige seiner Bücher und Artikel wurden auf Türkisch, Deutsch, Englisch und Bosnisch veröffentlicht. Momentan konzentriert er sich auf Themen wie "Die Beziehung zwischen moderner Wissenschaft, Philosophie und Religion" und "Globalisation und Islam". Besonders interessiert er sich für "Globalisation und Islam", "Aberglauben und Religion", "Koran und Wissenschaft", "Wie das türkische Volk die Religion wahrnimmt", "Die philosophischen und theologischen Ergebnisse der modernen Physik", "Religionsphilosophie", "Wissenschaftsphilosophie", "Philosophie der Biologie.
